There is only one Employee Attachment Inventory

by Anthony Sork on May 16, 2012

We have recently become aware of a number of vendors promoting what they are calling “employee attachment surveys.”

We’re very flattered that others have picked up our terminology and are promoting this important concept, and we do respect everyone’s right to market and sell products in a free market. However we are concerned that some of our community may be thinking that these solutions are measuring Employee Attachment when they actually appear to be very simplistic post induction questionnaires.

In the interests of protecting our clients and potential clients, we’d like to cover what you’re receiving when you work with us on improving your team’s attachment.

What do your employees really think of you?

by Anthony Sork on May 3, 2012

Congratulations to one of our group members, Justin Babet on some great coverage in the Australian Financial Review this week. Social media brings many challenges to recruitment and brand management. We’ve never really been in control of our employment brand, but social media and sites like Job Advisor bring whole new challenges. Your brand has always been the sum of what people say about you. Now, however, what people say is very visible with the potential to go viral.

You only get one chance to make a first impression. OK I know this is a cliché. But clichés are clichés for a reason. They contain a nugget of truth that’s worth exploring. A few years back I wrote an article for the Australian – what interviews foretell? I had the pleasure of interviewing some of the recruitment industry’s leading lights – Bob Olivier and Steven Begg. I wanted to explore whether someone’s interview could actually provide an insight into the professionalism or culture of an organisation.

Both agreed the style of interview itself may give a clue about a company’s culture, but as the interview is partly sales process, that prospective employees should do their due diligence on the organisation, the manager and the company culture.

Here’s what they recommended candidates consider about a prospective employer…..

We receive many questions from HR Managers about how to present a business case for measuring employee attachment using the Employee Attachment Inventory (EAI). There are many compelling arguments, including a strong financial case. Here are ten top reasons for measuring attachment using the EAI, including why you should use it as a management tool. Yes – we’re writing a book!

by Anthony Sork on February 15, 2012

Four years ago we patented the world first Employee Attachment Inventory (EAI). Now many leading Australasian organisations use this instrument to support managers at every level to achieve high levels of Attachment. Now it’s time to spread the word to a wider audience through our book, and for this we need your help.

If you have a first day, week or up to 4 months horror story that you’d like to share with us, we’d love to hear from you. We’d like to know what happened, how it made you feel, and what could have been done to improve your experience.

It will be completely anonymous of course – but this is your chance to have your voice heard.
